Reliable performance for demanding medical applications.


At A. Hopf, we design and manufacture high-performance medical stopcocks trusted by device manufacturers across Europe.

To evaluate their performance, we conducted internal comparative tests* with four widely used stopcocks available on the market.


   

Key results (under defined test conditions):

  • The flow rate of our stopcocks is on average 15% to 36% higher, including in comparison with products marketed as “high flow.”

  • Our torsion tests revealed that the handles of our stopcocks are on average 12% to 39% easier to turn, supporting smoother and more consistent handling.

  • Our water pressure tests showed an average pressure resistance 14% to 30% higher than that of other products tested.

  • Our leak tests showed a gain of 12% to 22% compared to other products tested.


   

For medical applications such as enteral nutrition, where highly viscous liquids can impact flow performance, our open-gate handle design, rather than a traditional bore configuration, helps maintain an unobstructed fluid pathway and minimises the risk of flow restriction.
